5 Reasons to Visit Viva Las Vegas
5 Reasons to Visit Viva Las Vegas
“Bright light city gonna set my soul gonna set my soul on fire. Got a whole lot of money that's ready to burn, so get those stakes up higher. There's a thousand pretty women waitin out there and they're all livin devil may care. And I’m just the devil with love to spare, viva Las Vegas, viva Las Vegas”
So says Elvis Presley in his famous song about the notorious city of sin in Nevada. Las Vegas is a city full of excitement and potential. It could be the potential to have the best time of your life or to lose your life savings, but hopefully not the latter!
Las Vegas is somewhere that most people are at least a little bit interested in visiting anyway, and here are 5 reasons that could convince you to take your next break deep in the Nevada desert:
1) The sights
As soon as you arrive in Las Vegas your breath is taken away by the astounding sights that surround you. Colours, flashing lights, all kinds of people and unbelievable buildings are everywhere and the scene is quite surreal. The sights of Las Vegas will blow you away.
2) The casinos
Of course you can’t go to Las Vegas without visiting a casino, and there are plenty to choose from. This is the world’s biggest casino town and you could spend a whole holiday at the roulette tables, on slot machines or playing 3 stud poker with other optimistic travellers. Even if you don’t want to risk your money you should have a look around a couple of casinos and see what all the fuss is about.
3) The hotels
Most of the hotels in Las Vegas, or at least the most famous ones, are attached to the casinos. So if you go to the Flamingo – made famous by the novel and movie Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas – or Paris Las Vegas – the mini European city as a resort – you can stay in the equally famous hotels and have a great time there.
4) The highways
Having a cruise along the highways that reach Las Vegas is also recommended for all visitors.
5) The desert
If you take a drive you can’t miss the desert as it surrounds Las Vegas on all sides, and despite being a little barren (it is a desert!), it is a spectacular sight in itself.
